Le Soleil - little, hand sewn wall hanging
This unique artwork is called "Le Soleil". It shows a glowing, yellow sun set against a blue, pink and orange sky. Sequins and beads add a sparkling touch, and it is bordered with folksy summer flowers from a vintage fabric.

The textile wall hanging is made using textile techniques of patchwork, appliqué and hand quilting. The hand stitch lends another layer of texture to the piece.
I sewed this piece entirely by hand, and took the opportunity to feature lovely hand-dyed fabrics and threads from Fiona Moir, Oliver Twists, and another lady whose name I've unfortunately forgotten.
The art quilt measures approx (height x width):-
36 cm x 36.4 cm
14 & 1/8 inches x 14 & 1/4 inches
A sleeve on the reverse holds a narrow strip of wood, so that the wall decoration is ready to hang from your own hooks or nails.
The wall hanging may be sent rolled or folded, and may require pressing on the reverse with a warm iron, upon receipt.

Cleaning Advice: I recommend spot cleaning if necessary. Gentle dusting, or hand washing in warm water, followed by air drying flat, and pressing with a warm iron are also fine.
